Will Pacific Drive Launch in Early Access?
Thankfully, the question of whether Pacific Drive is Early Access isn’t a concern, as the studio announced they will launch as a full release. On release day, Pacific Drive is version 1.0.
It’s nice to see. We have endured so many Early Access titles lately, some phenomenal, like Enshrouded and Palworld, but others failing to live up to the hype.

Does Pre-Ordering Grant Early Access to Pacific Drive?
But with so many full-release titles, it’s common for the developer to sell an early access period — usually a matter of days — if you pre-order the game. Does pre-ordering Pacific Drive grant this same early access?
Thankfully, no. If you pre-order Pacific Drive, you will receive a 10% discount but nothing else. If you purchase the Deluxe Edition, you will obtain the We Have Liftoff Customization Pack, which features extraterrestrial-themed decor for your station wagon.
How to Play Pacific Drive Now
While pre-ordering the game will not grant you a headstart over everyone else, you can still play Pacific Drive. If you head over to the game’s Steam page, you’ll note the demo is still available to download.
It features quite a bit of the early game experience, including acquiring and repairing your vehicle in the PNW. It’s an excellent chance to explore the game world and gain your bearings before launch!
