The Outlast Trials: How to Earn Credits

I love to spend copious amounts of time customizing everything imaginable in a video game, from my character to my home to my weapons. In The Outlast Trials, you don’t get to arm yourself against the other patients, but you can customize your character and cell by earning cash. Here’s how to earn credits in The Outlast Trials!

How to Get Credits in The Outlast Trials

To earn credits fast in The Outlast Trials, you must participate in various trials and score high. If you can earn a B-rank or higher, you’ll earn a tidy sum of credits for finishing the main objectives and escaping. However, the lower your rank and, should you fail to escape, the fewer credits you earn per trial.

In time, as you learn the various maps and enemy patterns and get better at the gameplay, you’ll find that earning credits fast in The Outlast Trials is a cakewalk. You can easily pull in enough to fully customize your room in one or two trials, but the large items, like bundles, will take slightly longer. Those cost 10,000 credits!

What to Buy With Credits in The Outlast Trials

Once you have a small stash of credits to your name, I recommend having a little fun in your downtime between trials by customizing your cell, first and foremost, and then your character.

I say pick the cell first because, as The Outlast Trials is a first-person horror game, you won’t see your character often. Others will, though. But your cell is a place to rest your head and call home after a particularly deadly trial; you can change a lot about it.

  • Bedding
  • Bed Frame
  • Carpet/Flooring
  • Posters
  • Table Decorations
  • Dresser Decorations
  • Bundles

As previously mentioned, Bundles cost 10,000 Credits, but they change the entire look of your cell in one shot. You can add newspapers (with the Reagent Pack) and crayon drawings or turn your cell into a crime scene.

The Guide Hall went all out and dropped more than a few credits in The Outlast Trials for a cell worthy of bedrest after dealing with Mother Gooseberry. Keep an eye out for upcoming game guides!
