When is the Norland Release Date? – Answered

As someone who spent nearly 1,000 hours playing RimWorld and many hundreds in similar colony simulation and base-building games, I’m beyond excited for Norland. Like many of you, I can’t wait much longer for this upcoming medieval strategy game to launch. But there’s unfortunate news out of the gaming industry today. So, when is the Norland release date?

What is Norland’s Release Date?

Unfortunately, Developer Long Jaunt and publisher Hooded Horse announced recently that they were delaying Norland once more. As of right now, the new release date for Norland is July 18. Initially, the medieval colony sim was supposed to launch in mid-May. We were so close to the release day!

But hey, a delay is never a bad thing. It means the developer has more time to polish the experience, include additional features, and shoot for a fantastic launch overall. Who wants a rushed game? We deal with too many bugs, glitches, and crashes overall as players, right?

What is Norland?

Norland is a colony simulation strategy game in which you will lead your people in founding a kingdom, not just a settlement, and see to their needs. You’ll engage in politics, open warfare with other nations, spy plots, and all the while, attempt to feed, clothe, and satisfy your villagers by meeting basic needs, such as religion, food, and entertainment.

If you’ve ever played RimWorld or Clanfolk, you should have a basic grasp of the overall concept of Norland. It’s just a medieval setting, with knights in armor and steel swords that shine in the sunlight over the battlefield.
