Ghost of Tsushima: All Playable Classes in Multiplayer

As part of the Ghost of Tsushima: Legends game mode, the once-single-player experience, which followed the story of Jin Sakai pushing back the Mongol hordes in Japan, players can now come together cooperatively to fight enemy hordes with sword and bow. But not everyone can play as Jin. You must choose a multiplayer class in Ghost of Tsushima, and there are four to select from. Here’s what you should know!

Every Multiplayer Class in Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima’s four classes in multiplayer mode include Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, and Assassin. It’s a separate experience from the campaign, completely free to those who own the game on PS5 and those who buy the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC, and features unlockables you’ll want to acquire.

But first, you must select your class!

Samurai

The Samurai class in Ghost of Tsushima is your basic frontline soldier. They’re the assault class, rushing headlong into battle to take aggro and deal damage to enemies in direct combat. It’s the most straightforward class and the one most will likely start their co-op journeys with.

Hunter

Next, we have Hunter, a primarily ranged class in Ghost of Tsushima that utilizes a longbow for long-range takedowns. Their abilities increase the overall damage of long-range attacks, and the Hunter may refill ammunition using the Resupply technique in the heat of battle. They’re the ultimate support class.

Ronin

The Ronin is a versatile class in Ghost of Tsushima capable of reviving allies using the Breath of Izanami, a class ability only available to them. Alongside reviving downed teammates, the Ronin deals ghost weapon damage via abilities, whips out a blowgun, and can summon spirit dogs and bears to aid allies.

Assassin

The ultimate stealth class in Ghost of Tsushima, the Assassin, deals stealth attack damage with a sword and blowpipe. Thanks to numerous perks and abilities, the Assassin’s stealth damage increases tenfold in combat, allowing players to take down unsuspecting enemies easily.

Which Class Should You Play in Ghost of Tsushima?

Which of the Ghost of Tsushima classes you should choose in Legends genuinely depends on your playstyle. Not everyone is going to mesh well with every class. For instance, I likely won’t play as the Assassin often unless it’s to unlock cosmetics and tackle guide content for the class. I’m not a stealth player. I’m too brazen and loud.

If you fancy yourself a head-on fighter who takes the heat off other players, choose to play as the Samurai. They’re the most straightforward class, with arguably some of the best armor in the game, capable of dealing damage and winning fights.

But many of us love the idea of a long-range archer class in most action-adventure games. As such, I suspect the Hunter will prove rather popular on PC!
