I’ve long stood firm as a stalwart fan of State of Decay. The first game was one of my first opportunities to work closely with a game developer, helping to promote the game. Then, along came State of Decay 2. Despite reservations about the platform, I eagerly pre-ordered the zombie survival game on the Microsoft Store. To this day, I’ve spent countless hundreds of hours playing. But now, it’s time for more. Will we see State of Decay 3 at Summer Game Fest?
Will Xbox Show Off State of Decay 3 at Summer Game Fest?
Yeah, there’s a boatload of copium in store for you here! I won’t lie to you when I say that of the many upcoming games I know about at Summer Game Fest, which begins on June 7, the one I want most is also one of the least likely to appear. Will we see State of Decay 3 at Summer Game Fest or Xbox Games Showcase? It’s unlikely, but there’s the remote possibility.
After all, we first saw State of Decay 3 years ago, with a short teaser trailer that indicates we’ll face off against weather, like snowstorms, along with zombie animals.
If we see State of Decay 3 at Xbox Games Showcase, I’ll be one of the happiest individuals. It’s most likely to occur during Microsoft’s event on Sunday, June 9.

Do We Have a State of Decay 3 Release Date?
Unfortunately, we know nothing about a State of Decay 3 release date. Besides the teaser trailer, developer Undead Labs and publisher Microsoft remain silent on the third entry in the cult-favorite zombie survival franchise.
We don’t know anything about the game besides what I previously mentioned about the weather and zombie deer. Personally, I hope they expand the community aspects, with greater control and customization of your survivors and better, more expansive base building overall!
