I genuinely feel terrible that so many people who play on PlayStation never had the opportunity to enjoy State of Decay or State of Decay 2. They’re fantastic zombie survival games, and everyone deserves that in their lives. So, will State of Decay 3 come to PS5? Fingers crossed!
Is State of Decay 3 Coming to PS5?
There is currently nothing to suggest whether State of Decay 3 is coming to PS5. If we follow the latest trends, in which Microsoft pushed a few of its titles to PlayStation, namely Sea of Thieves and Grounded, then we’ll likely see State of Decay on PlayStation 5 eventually.
However, whether or not that happens on release day remains to be seen. Personally, I think it’s unlikely. Of course, Xbox may surprise us all and jump headfirst into its new initiative with zero console-exclusive titles in the future.
Either way, I can’t wait to learn more about State of Decay 3. Here’s hoping developer Undead Labs offers a crumb of information next month!

When Will We Hear More About State of Decay 3?
While nothing is officially confirmed by any studio or publisher, there’s a rumor circulating online about State of Decay 3 appearing at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9. If true, we’ll likely receive another trailer for the game, perhaps with some gameplay thrown in to appease the masses of hungry fans and some information about its core mechanics.
If we do receive a release date, I don’t expect anything less than early 2025, but who knows?!
