As we go into the depths of the Secret Mine, there are yet again more gems to collect. There are Sapphires hidden across the mine that players can find. In this guide, we will show you how to find every Sapphire in Secret Mine!
We’ll be organizing this guide by the first mission in which each gem can be found. Some missions contain multiple gems. There are also some special missions where a majority of the gems can be found. For this guide, however, we will be going by the gems’ first appearance.
D-1 Sapphires
Sapphire 1:
Head to the Smokehouse and clear the ghosts there. Once the room is cleared, head over to the coat rack on the right side of the room. Use your blacklight to uncover a hidden coat. Pull both coats off of the rack to open the panel. This will reveal the Sapphire, which you can use your vacuum to collect.
Sapphire 2:
Once you enter the Fishing Hut, look towards the left of the room and look up. The Sapphire will be below the wooden platform. Use your vacuum to drag it out from underneath the platform and collect it.
Sapphire 3:
Once you reach Under the Ice, you’ll be able to use a peephole to see the next Sapphire. Use the geyser at the bottom left of the room get on the second level, then grab Toad and shoot him down the small shaft.
Toad will slide down the shaft, causing the Sapphire to pop out. Slide back down and collect the gem.
Sapphire 4:
Head up to High Wires. Grab one of the wires on the left and travel all the way up.
Once you reach the end of the wire, drop down The Sapphire is resting in a crow’s nest. Use your vacuum to obtain it.
Sapphire 5:
Go to the airway and look in the binoculars. Once you spot the Sapphire, a bat will take it and deposit it near the elevator.
Once you make it to the elevator on the lower level of the Airway, check the barrel nearby. It will contain the last Sapphire of the mission.

D-2 Sapphires
Sapphire 6:
Once you enter the mission, head back outside to the Chalet Approach. Walk to the left to find a chicken on a grill. Use your strobe light to activate the grill and grab the chicken.
Walk off the porch and head down the approach. You’ll see a painting of the gem encased in ice. Use the chicken to melt the ice. Then, use Your blacklight to free and collect the Sapphire.
Sapphire 7:
Make your way down to the Airway. Use the strobe light to activate the lift. Ride that lift over to the upper level of the Airway and continue to Prospector’s Crossing.
You’ll notice that the Sapphire is stuck in the icy floor. Walk all the way down Prospector’s Crossing. Turn to the right and use your blacklight. This will uncover a pickaxe. Spin the pickaxe to bring the wall forward, which will drop a few pieces of wood.
Once you have the wood, bring both pieces onto the ice. This will cause the ice to crack, allowing you to collect the Sapphire.
Sapphire 8:
Make your way to the Skip Slope. You need to head down the left path (the path with the turning wheel) in order to obtain the Sapphire. Getting the right angle to make it past the wheel can be difficult, so it may take a few tries. If you’re missing the timing, slide a little later or change the angles to make it past the wheel.
Sapphire 9:
Enter the shaft and lower it all the way down. Grab the red ball chain and pull it. Then, begin to take the shaft back up. You’ll see the Sapphire is lying in its little nook. Use your vacuum to collect it.
Sapphire 10:
Once you make it to the Deep Hall, head into the right room. Get several rocks on the conveyor belt and transport them into the Deep Hall. Then, grab one and set it on fire. Look up and you’ll see the Sapphire. Aim the rock and shoot it to collect the gem.
D-3 Sapphires
Sapphire 11:
Before heading to the Gondola, head back to Crossroads. Go through the portal and walk forward. Turn right and use your blacklight to reveal a hidden crate (you’ll need to travel back through the portal to catch the Spirit Balls). The Sapphire will be hidden beneath some snow. Suck away the snow to claim it.
Sapphire 12:
Continue on down to the Crystal Quarry. Activate the portal there with your strobe light and enter it. This will take you back to the Chalet. Luigi will fall on the couch as he returns to the Chalet, which will release the Sapphire.
Sapphire 13:
The final Sapphire in Secret Mine is at High Wires. Start by going to the Gondala and entering the coal canon. On the left side, there is a tree for you to shoot, which will cause it to fall over.
Head back to High Wires and cross the fallen tree. It will lead you to an isolated shed.
Once you enter the shed, you will be transported to a minigame. Use the snowball to shoot the blue ghosts before the timer runs out. Try and avoid their attacks as much as possible. If you manage to win, you’ll be rewarded with the final Sapphire.
Reward
Your reward for collecting every Sapphire is a special statue of Luigi, which can be viewed in the Gallery.
