Now that we’ve made it to Old Clockworks, there are yet again more gems to find. As with the previous two mansions, there are hidden Rubies all over the place. In this guide, we will show you exactly how and where to find every hidden Ruby in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD!
We’ll be organizing this guide by the first mission in which each gem can be found. Some missions contain multiple gems. There are also some special missions where a majority of the gems can be found. For this article, however, we will be going by the gems’ first appearance.
C-1 Rubies

Ruby 2:
Once you enter the Warehouse, walk towards the boxes along the back wall. Use your blacklight to uncover a green ribbon.
Take the ribbon to the ribbon machine and place it in there. Use your vacuum on the ribbon to release the Ruby.
Ruby 3:
Head to the Clock Tower Gate. Right at the entrance, walk to the back of the platform. Use your blacklight to reveal another hidden chest, which once again holds the Ruby.
C-2 Rubies
Ruby 4:
Continue to the Storm Cellar. Once you clear the ghosts in the room, head over to the bed on the left side of the room. Pull down the cloth above the bed to reveal a painting of the Ruby. Use your blacklight to release the gem and collect it.
Ruby 5:
Make your way to the Canyon Staircase (where the previous mission ended). Go up the first staircase and look up. There will be a web holding the Ruby. Suck up the web to collect it.
Ruby 6:
Go down to the bottom of the Quarry. Start pulling the cart on the right side, but don’t pull it under the sand yet. Head into the small cave where the minecart was resting. The Ruby will be trapped by a web. Use your vacuum to once again clear the web and obtain the Ruby.

C-3 Rubies
Ruby 7:
Head back to the Warehouse. Go to the red elevator, use your vacuum to turn the valve, and you’ll be brought up to the second floor.
Enter the Clockmaker’s Chambers. There will be a sleeping ghost that’s holding the Ruby. Suck up the rug to reveal a rotor, which will change the time of the clock. Match the clock on the wall’s time with the time on the alarm clock (which is 9:00). This will wake the ghost up. Defeat it to collect the Ruby.
Ruby 8:
Continue on to the upper level of the Roundhouse. Traverse the first set of beams and walk to the right. Then, hop on the second set of beams.
After you cross the beams, walk right and then walk down. At the end of the platform, there will be a chest containing the Ruby.
Ruby 9:
Once you unlock the door to the lower floor of the Roundhouse, head down the stairs. Before going to fight the Ancient Poltergeist, continue heading left. You will walk behind a wall and into a small area. There is a web holding the Ruby. Clear the web to obtain it.
C-5 Rubies
Ruby 10:
Once you enter mission C-5, head to the Gear Chamber. Once the ghost leaves the room, make your way to the very bottom of the chamber. There will be a path of boxes on the right, but you’ll be unable to cross. Use your blacklight to reveal a hidden plank.
Follow the boxes until you walk behind the back wall. There will be a door shaking. Enter the door.
Complete the red coin challenge. This red coin challenge can be difficult to complete if you don’t head the right way. You’ll want to start by heading left and making it to the gear spring as quickly as possible. Collect the red coins at the top before using the spring on the right to go back down and collect the final two red coins.
Ruby 11:
Head over to the Matinence Hub. Use the strobe light to bring the lift over to the right side.
Grab onto the lift, but let go before making it over to the left side. Walk to the front of the room. Use your blacklight around the front of the giant center platform (there are arrows you can see when you use your blacklight that will show you where to go). This will reveal a chest, which contains the Ruby.
Ruby 12:
Before exiting the mission, use Toad to grab the Ruby that’s sitting in the Service Elevator. Grab Toad and use the mirror in the room to shoot him over to the Ruby. Once he reunites with Luigi, you will receive the collectible.
C-Boss Rubies
The final Ruby in Old Clockworks is in the Boss stage. Before heading up, head over to the left of Movement. The last Ruby will be hidden behind some sand. Use your vacuum to suck it out and collect it.
Reward
Your reward for collecting every Ruby is a special statue of Luigi, which can be viewed in the Gallery.
