Cult of the Lamb: How to Get Cotton

With the recent introduction of the Sins of the Flesh, Cult of the Lamb grew in scope and depravity. Now, it’s nothing for your Followers to wander the homestead with nothing but a leaf to cover their bits and bobs. Plus, there are new resources, like Cotton. Here is how to get Cotton in Cult of the Lamb!

Where to Get Cotton in Cult of the Lamb

As you progress through a Crusade, unlocking rooms as usual, you may eventually notice a brand-new room. It featured an exclamation point for my first time to indicate it was new and thrilling. Inside were none other than six Cotton plants, and you can pick each one to gain a few valuable pieces of the new resource.

Like with the Berry Bushes, you hold down the interact button to slowly fill up the progress bar until complete. Voila! You have a bunch of Cotton to use in the new Sins of the Flesh content and a few seeds to plant back home!

That said, you can’t use Cotton in Cult of the Lamb until you finish Anchordeep, defeating Kallamar at the end of the dungeon, and then the new content will unlock.

What is Cotton Used For in Cult of the Lamb?

Once you’ve defeated Kallamar and unlocked the Tailor Station, Cotton becomes useful. That occurs once you enter Silk Cradle, the fourth biome in the game, and speak with Berith.

If only things were so simple, though. To unlock the Tailor Station, you must spend Divine Inspiration and then pay the resource fee to construct the new workbench. That will cost you:

  • 8x Gold Bars
  • 16x Spider Silk

With the Tailor Station plopped down somewhere in your camp, interact with it and select the attire you wish to craft. Most will require Cotton. Some need Gold, Meat, or Spider Silk, however.

As you progress through the Crusades, you’ll meet up with Berith occasionally. They’ll offer additional clothing recipes and even some event-themed clothing to use back home.
