Can You Play HumanitZ With a Controller? – Answered

If you’re a fan of the zombie survival genre, you know that we’re eating good. Countless quality zombie games are available today, with more popping up frequently. But a few stand apart from the roaming crowd. For instance, HumanitZ. It’s a top-down, isometric zombie survival game that many players liken to a simplified Project Zomboid. But with that said, can you play HumanitZ with a controller?

Does HumanitZ Have Controller Support?

As a top-down, almost twin-stick shooter-like approach to the zombie survival genre, one would expect such a title to include full controller support. However, regarding controllers in HumanitZ, the game only offers partial support.

Developer Yodubzz Studios recently pushed an update for the game that included controller support—one of the most requested features from the community. As it’s a relatively new implementation for the studio, the controller support in HumanitZ does require a bit more work to feel comfortable and fluid. It’s a work in progress. Many within the community feel it’s shoddy, unintuitive, and cumbersome, especially when dealing with the inventory system.

If controller support is an absolute must for you, you may wish to wait until the studio irons out any kinks!
