I’m a big fan of The Division. I still remember the initial reveal trailer for the first game and, like most of you, thinking how amazing the graphics were for the time. Of course, little did we know that would change before launch. But still, it was a fantastic, immersive experience with one of the most gorgeous settings. Then, along came The Division 2, which I played endlessly the summer it launched alongside my wife. Now, we’re waiting for the third installment. So, will we see The Division 3 at Summer Game Fest or Ubisoft Forward?
Will Ubisoft Reveal The Division 3 at Summer Game Fest or Ubisoft Forward?
Unfortunately, thanks to word from an insider, I have it on good authority that we won’t see The Division 3 at Summer Game Fest or Ubisoft Forward this year. It’s still quite early in development, especially following the cancellation of The Division: Heartland.
I completely understand if you’re as disappointed as I am. I was hoping for anything, even a short teaser trailer, but that isn’t Ubisoft’s style. They like to show off bombastic cinematics.
Perhaps we’ll see The Division 3 at a summer showcase next year? There’s plenty of time between now and then for a reveal, a smidgen of info, or even an additional leak.

Where is The Division 3 Set?
The best I can offer regarding the setting of The Division 3 is pure speculation. I’ve reached out for additional insight about the project, but nothing is set in stone.
For now, I can offer a wishlist of cities that I feel would prove perfect for a The Division game, such as:
- Chicago
- New Orleans
- San Diego
- Houston
- Kansas City
Can you imagine The Division 3 set in New Orleans? You’d be waist-deep in murky water, assaulting a checkpoint, when an alligator lunges from the depths!
The Guide Hall remains understandably impatient for the many upcoming announcements and reveals we’ll see at Summer Game Fest. But we genuinely want The Division 3 sooner rather than later!
