If you’ve recently logged in to Fallout 76, you might notice something’s awry. When you open the map, it zooms to the top left corner, and in some cases, your map markers have entirely disappeared. It’s an annoying glitch that desperately requires a fix. So, why is the Fallout 76 map broken?
What Happened to the Fallout 76 Map?
Following the most recent Fallout 76 update in July, Bethesda somehow managed to bork much of the game. Alongside the broken map in Fallout 76, numerous UI glitches exist, such as quest targets completely disappearing from the HUD, many who cannot track challenges, and event markers missing from the game world entirely.
It’s a plague spreading rapidly this weekend, worse than the Scorched, for those who want to play and enjoy the game in their spare time!

Is There a Fix for the Broken Map in Fallout 76?
Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a fix for the broken map in Fallout 76. Believe me when I say I tried everything to resolve the problem and bring you answers.
I restarted my game, verified game files, reinstalled Fallout 76, and even created multiple new characters. However, the issues persist.
Even worse, on my current character, the map zooms to the top left corner of the game world. But on a brand-new character, map icons don’t appear at all.
As such, the issue may appear more problematic for new players than for veterans, which is a sure way to scare off prospective dwellers!
