Growing up, I was a massive fan of Star Wars, but then slowly drifted away from the fandom in recent years. I’m sure you can guess why. But recent games in the franchise have begun swaying me back over to the Dark Side, namely Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and, most recently, the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws. Say what you want about its pricing and unknown main character; the game looks phenomenal. So, how long must we wait for the Star Wars Outlaws release date to hit?
What is the Star Wars Outlaws Release Date?
Thankfully, we don’t have long to wait. The official Star Wars Outlaws release date is August 30. If you wait it out through the end of summer, with plenty of fantastic releases to keep you busy, then before long, we’ll all be playing Outlaws!
That said, if you pay for the Star Wars Outlaws Ultimate Edition, which costs a staggering $129.99, then you’ll receive three days early access to the entire game.

What is Star Wars Outlaws?
Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world, single-player adventure in which you, playing a scoundrel and thief, tackle quests, steal your way to greatness, and profit from the misfortune of others. The game is set sometime between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, meaning a lot of political turmoil, the looming threat of war, and plenty of lore to experience firsthand.
Who Do You Play in Star Wars Outlaws?
In Star Wars Outlaws, you play as Kay Vess. She’s an experienced thief, though, in this adventure, she’s toned down somewhat to feel more relatable to the players. Alongside your companion, Nix, you’ll explore iconic locations from throughout the franchise. There are adventures around each corner, and Kay Vess brings a unique skill set that may prove unlike anything we’ve experienced beforehand.
You’re not a Jedi. You’re a scoundrel with a blaster!
The Guide Hall adores open-world adventures, with a soft spot for the popcorn games Ubisoft typically designs, so Star Wars Outlaws is on our radar. We’ll have day-one guides for you!
