If you spend any amount of time watching the games industry, then you know 2024 is set to be an impressive year full of exciting game releases. One of my most anticipated titles is Avowed from developer Obsidian Entertainment. I’ve longed for an open-world RPG that competes directly with The Elder Scrolls. But we’re all curious about the Avowed release date, right?
Do We Know the Avowed Release Date?
If you grew up playing open-world role-playing games like The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, then you’ve likely been yearning for something similar. While Skyrim offers its own charm, it’s a far cry from the original RPGs in the series. But Obsidian Entertainment somehow manages to nail much of that charm in its own titles, and the upcoming Avowed looks no different.
Thankfully, we don’t have to wait long to play Avowed, as its official release date is February 18, 2025. If you pre-order the Premium Edition, you can play on February 13—five days ahead of the “official” release.

Is Avowed Coming to Xbox Game Pass?
Hey, great news! Avowed is coming to Xbox Game Pass day one, launching simultaneously on PC and Xbox Series X|S with zero delay.
If you’re a subscriber, go ahead and pre-load your copy of Avowed now on your console, though it doesn’t appear PC copies have the ability.
Furthermore, there’s currently no word on whether Avowed is coming to PlayStation 5, but as soon as we know more, we’ll update you!
This year is looking like another major win for the games industry, at least as far as releases go. I mean, just look at the Elden Ring Nightreign release date, editions, and price tag!
