Lower Your Mouse Sensitivity
Upon loading into your new prison cell…I mean, in your workspace, you’ll note that your mouse sensitivity appears insanely high. Maybe it’s just me? Either way, head into the game’s settings and lower Horizontal Sensitivity and Vertical Sensitivity under Controls. I recommend lowering both to approximately 0.60, but you may find that’s still a little high. Find a value that suits your playstyle!
Clean Up Your Workspace
Straight off the bat, you’ll note your extremely limited workspace is cluttered with boxes, junk, and falling money. It’s a total mess! You’ll want to go ahead and spend a few minutes cleaning up and organizing the space, ensuring everything is somewhere close and within easy grabbing distance. Start by filling those two pallets against the wall with those extra surprise boxes sent your way, then with any other cardboard boxes left behind. Next, clean up all of the loose dollar bills into a sortable pile. Trust me when I say, a little organization goes a long way!
Organize Your Table With the Money Counter on the Right-Hand Side
I made a mistake pretty early on. I went to grab a small stack of money left on the table after counting, but instead accidentally picked up everything I had previously organized. It turned into a massive mess, with my equipment flying everywhere and the money unsorted and left scattered about the floor.
I quickly learned that you should organize the workbench—every workbench—to suit your preferences. I recommend keeping the money counter to the right-hand side of the table, away from your supplies. Eventually, buying a second table specifically for supplies makes sense.
Fight the Urge to Deposit Everything Into Your Piggy Bank
Once you unlock the piggy bank, you’ll find it rather tempting to stuff money into the tube and send it away, watching the counter rise ever higher. Don’t! It’ll leave you short-changed when you tackle missions in the future.
Yes, you need to deposit some money into the piggy bank, but be wary. Don’t overestimate how much you should deposit!
