I know firsthand that dealing with Warzone packet loss is frustrating. You want to hop online, play a round or two of the battle royale, and move on with your day. But you can’t. Something is wrong with the network, and it’s preventing you from playing. Here’s how to fix the problem!
How to Fix Packet Loss in Warzone
There are a handful of ways to fix packet loss, including:
- Resetting your internet connection by restarting your router/modem or turning the internet on your computer on and off again.
- Monitor Activision’s server status page, which details their most popular Call of Duty titles, including Warzone, and whether the servers are up.
- Turn off On-Demand Texture Streaming in the Graphics tab of the Game Settings. If your connection isn’t strong enough to handle the constant stream of data from the game, turning this setting off may help reduce packet loss and improve latency.

What Causes Packet Loss in Warzone?
The reason why you’re dealing with packet loss in Warzone is typically because of network congestion. Either your network is overwhelmed by numerous people and devices attempting to simultaneously, or the game’s servers have failed to accommodate the heavy load. This often happens at peak hours, such as right after everyone gets home from work, during the summer when school is out, or on the weekends. It’s unfortunate!
