Upcoming Zombie Survival Game Undead Chronicles Features Slow Zombies, Scarce Ammo

In my humble opinion, we don’t have enough zombie survival games. I know, the market was “flooded” with new releases at one point. I disagree. We needed more. Thankfully, I’m not alone in this line of thought. Developer Seyfhouse Games set out to create a slow-burn zombie survival horror known as Undead Chronicles, featuring slow-moving zombies, scarce ammo, and budding tension. I’m here for it all!

You are RJ Edwards, a British banking official sent to the Imperial Ottoman Bank on a promotion you never wanted. Shortly after you arrive, you find yourself in an abandoned office: crooked ledgers, scattered notes, a brass nameplate still bearing your predecessor’s name. Rain pounds the windows. Gunfire echoes outside. The radio advises calm.

Three days later, the gunfire stops. The radios fall silent. When you step into the corridor, the city has collapsed.

While it’s still early days, seeing as Undead Chronicles was only recently announced, we do know a little about the game, thanks to its Steam store page!

  • Realistic Combat – Undead Chronicles isn’t aiming for fast-paced, frantic gunplay. It’s a slow-burn horror with ADS gunplay, in which ammo is scarce, headshots matter, and body shots may slow your enemies.
  • Serious Atmosphere – This isn’t a bright, colorful apocalypse. It’s the real world reimagined in an undead setting, in which people panic, gore splatters, and it’s bleak all over.
  • Grounded Puzzles – As someone who hates puzzles in survival horror games, I’m excited to see a more grounded approach here. Restore power via the fusebox, search jackets for keys, check desk drawers, etc. It’s simple, logical, and accessible.

Now’s a good time to wishlist the game, survivor horror fans!
