Having a werewolf Sim unlocks an abundance of new gameplay mechanics. You can rank up and unlock abilities, new interactions become available, and you can join werewolf packs. But to embark on this new adventure, you must first learn how to become a werewolf in The Sims 4!
These are the main ways to become a werewolf: making one in Create-a-Sim, asking to be bit by a werewolf, or contracting the Werebies virus. To be turned into a werewolf, your Sim has to be human. If it’s any other occult, the game won’t allow your Sim to be turned into one.
How to Become a Werewolf in The Sims 4
Multiple gameplay methods are available to become a werewolf in The Sims 4, along with a few cheat methods if you wish to skip the waiting!
Making a Werewolf in Create-a-Sim
The first way to get a Sim werewolf is to make one from scratch in CAS. To do this, hit the add Sim button in the bottom left corner, add occult Sim, and choose add werewolf. Doing this will start your Sim in the pup rank, and you can join a werewolf pack.
This method also lets you customize your werewolf; otherwise, you must use the cas.fulleditmode cheat. The customization options only let you change the coat. The tools are similar to how you customize pets with The Sims 4: Cats and Dogs. You can change the coat and pattern. There’s also a paint mode you can use to add more details.
Get Bit By an Existing Werewolf
The second method to turning your Sim into a werewolf is by asking an existing werewolf to bite your human Sim. For this to work, you’ll first need to befriend a werewolf. Making friends in The Sims isn’t tricky; keep performing friendly actions until the bar is about a quarter of the way full.
To find a werewolf to befriend, go to Moonwood Mill. Moonwood Mill is the town where all of the werewolf packs are. Next, I recommend finding one of the werewolves with the pack. These townies have the curse bearer ability: Kristopher Volkov, Lily Zhu, and Rory Oaklow.
On the map, you can find Kristopher Volkov and Lily Zhu in the Volkov residence or at the Moonwood Collective camp, which is right by the residence. The camp is a big tree with paper stars hanging from it and a community garden in the front.
Rory doesn’t have a house in the game, but she can usually be found at the Wildfangs camp. This camp is located next to the bar in Moonwood Mill. The camp is a trailer with some workout equipment and a pile of paintings in front.
After befriending one of these three, you can go into the friendly menu, under deep conversation, and click ‘ask for cursed bite.’ This will give your Sim an energized moodlet, and in about 10 Sim hours, your Sim will transform for the first time.

Contracting Werebies
The final way to transform into a werewolf is by contracting the werebies virus. To contract the werebies virus, you’ll want to explore the underground tunnels in Moonwood Mill as a human. These tunnels include the Portal Potties, the Sewer Grate, and the Old Bunker.
The Portal Potties are located right next to the fishing spot by the library, the Sewer Grate is behind the bar, and the Old Bunker is hidden behind some trees on the other side of Moonwood Mill by the Volkov household.
You’ll want to walk through these tunnels until you get a prompt that says Growling. When you get this prompt, click ‘investigate the growling.’
After this, look for a prompt that says your Sim got into a fight. The scratch they get from this event will give them the virus. This may take a few tries because you won’t always get the growling prompt, and the growling prompt won’t always lead to getting scratched. Be patient and keep exploring the tunnels.
Werebies will go through four stages: werebies, advanced werebies, insatiable hunger, and ravenous hunger. Werebies will make your Sims angry for three hours, and they will start to foam at the mouth. After that, advanced werebies will make them tense for 20 hours, still foaming at the mouth. Next, insatiable hunger will make them uncomfortable for five hours, and there will be a glowing mark on their arm. Finally, they will have a ravenous appetite for three hours. While this is happening, your Sim will still be able to do usual things like eating and working.
After going through these four stages, your Sim will involuntarily transform for the first time. During this time, you won’t be able to control your Sim. Just wait it out. Once their first transformation is done, they will appear at the top of Cave Peak.
