Where to Get Scrap Metal in SurrounDead
You can obtain Scrap Metal in SurrounDead by walking up to the vehicle wreckage (black and smoking vehicles) scattered throughout the game world, then hitting ‘F’ to salvage the wreck. You’ll only receive a small amount of Scrap Metal per salvage action. If you want more, you must bring a Sledgehammer to salvage the vehicle fully.
Scrap Metal stacks but still require a 2×2 slot in your inventory, making it relatively large. If you intend to salvage numerous wrecks, be sure to bring along a sizable backpack. Once you return to base, deposit your resources in a crate somewhere to free up your inventory before your next loot run.
Furthermore, if you require a Sledgehammer, you can loot one out in the world (check industrial zones) or purchase one from a vendor. A tool typically costs $250, so bring along some cash!
