Shortly after starting your journey in Supermarket Simulator, you’ll notice little inefficiencies in your shop. You may have misplaced items that would be better suited elsewhere. Or, perhaps you’re expanding and need to move shelves around. Either way here is how to move items in Supermarket Simulator!
How to Move Products in Supermarket Simulator
After placing down items on a shelf or within a fridge, you can pick up and move products using the same size box as the one the item arrived in at your doorstep. For instance, I’m using a rectangular box for the Coffee Dark Roast in the screenshot below. If I empty this box and attempt to move Ron’s Sandwich Bread, it won’t work. It’s an incorrect size.

Once you have the correct-sized box, walk up to the item you wish to move in Supermarket Simulator and right-click instead of left-clicking. By right-clicking, you’ll remove the item from the shelf and store it within the box.

Where to Store Products in Supermarket Simulator

Once you move items in Supermarket Simulator back into an appropriately sized box, you’ll typically want to store unused products in the Storage Room at the back of the store. But if you have yet to unlock the Storage Room (it’s expensive!), you can do what I did here and store them in the store’s back corner on the floor.
The products do not expire, even if they require a refrigerator or cooler, so don’t worry about losing money by storing items on the ground. They’re also easier to access here, as you can peek down into the open boxes to see what’s inside each before restocking shelves!
