Like so very many of you, I’m impatiently awaiting any information about State of Decay 3. Developer Undead Labs unveiled the game far too early for our liking, and the hype is stagnating by the minute. Despite this, hope prevails. Here’s what we know about the State of Decay 3 release date, and we promise to update this piece regularly with any new information that emerges.
The trailer above, shown off during Xbox Games Showcase 2024, was the last piece of information we received about State of Decay 3 from Xbox or Undead Labs. It’s quite the trailer, and it does its job of sending the hype train further down the tracks.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t reveal a release date for State of Decay 3. Instead, we get a firsthand look at in-game footage mixed with cinematics. We see a group of survivors caught in a life-or-death battle against zombie hordes, in a bleak post-apocalyptic world.
When is State of Decay 3 Coming Out?
Again, we have no official release date for State of Decay 3, only speculation. At this time, we suspect the game will launch sometime in Autumn 2027, likely after September. Is that a sure bet? Unfortunately, no.
Xbox and Undead Labs may decide they require additional time to iron out any bugs or enhance gameplay further. Who knows?! All we know is that the game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and, more likely than not, Game Pass.
