The cozy gaming community rejoiced recently as Starsand Island launched in Early Access, albeit with a few mishaps. Overall, there’s an excellent farming and life-sim core here that developer Seed Sparkle Lab intends to flesh out in the coming months. But what about console players? Is Starsand Island coming to PlayStation 5? Here’s what you should know about the PS5 version!
Can You Play Starsand Island on PS5?
Unfortunately, not yet. Starsand Island is currently only available on PC and Xbox Series X/S, the latter of which appears to be having performance issues. That said, the cozy life-sim is scheduled for release on PS5 in summer 2026, at the time of its full release.
Now, there’s no official release date for the full 1.0 launch or PS5 version of Starsand Island besides “summer.” But that’s vague. Of course, there’s always the off chance that developer Seed Sparkle delays the PlayStation 5 version before launch. It happens.
In my humble opinion, I don’t think that’s going to happen unless 1.0 as a whole is delayed due to unforeseen development woes. We’ll see!
