Starfield features a handful of factions available to you, but few have the personality of the Freestar Rangers. If you want to take on the role of a space sheriff, jumping between star systems to dish out a touch of justice one bullet at a time, this is your faction. Here’s what you should know about the Freestar Rangers in Starfield!
How to Join the Freestar Rangers
You’ll meet Sam Coe relatively early on your journey at Constellation’s The Lodge in New Atlantis, Jemison. He’s a rough-and-tumble former Freestar Ranger who provides a lead on where to find another artifact. There’s a cave near his hometown of Akila City, but you’ll encounter another situation upon arrival. A local band of ruffians by the name of The Shaw Gang attempted a bank robbery at the local Galbank branch, but they took hostages and angered the Freestar Rangers.
This is your introduction to the entire faction and the quest Job Gone Wrong. Should you choose to help Daniel Blake resolve the ongoing bank robbery, no matter the outcome, he’ll offer you a chance to join the Freestar Rangers. Should you accept, head down the main road to The Rock. It’s hard to miss.
Once inside, speak to Emma Wilcox. She’s in charge of recruits and provides you with your first task as a prospect. If you impress her, she’ll offer you a badge and a gun!
Freestar Rangers Questline
There are eight main quests in the Freestar Rangers questline, an optional quest, and numerous Mission Board quests specific to the faction.
