Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was released in April 2023 to critical acclaim from various outlets and fans alike. Originally, the game was only available for current-gen consoles such as the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, Respawn announced on August 6 that Jedi: Survivor will be released on last-gen consoles, the PS4 and Xbox One. As announced on the EA Star Wars X account, Jedi: Survivor will be released on September 17, 2024 for these consoles.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Comes TO Last-Gen Consoles
The Game takes place 5 years after the events of Jedi: Fallen Order. Cameron Monaghan reprises his role as Cal Kestis. Now, a Jedi Knight, Cal has to determine how far he will go to fight the Empire.

Fans who enjoyed the first game but have not yet upgraded to the current generation of consoles can now enjoy the continuation of this thrilling story. Respawn also announced that a patch update for the PC version of Jedi: Survior will be released alongside these ports. This patch will improve the gameplay experience on older hardware as well.
However, recent discourse has been about the continual releases of new games on previous consoles. Although I think it’s great that more people can enjoy newer games who haven’t been able to upgrade yet, there are arguments saying that it holds the current generation back.
Despite this, the port of the game should run just fine on these older consoles. On top of that, these versions will only cost $49.99 USD for the Standard Edition compared to the $69.99 price tag for the current-gen versions.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is now available for preorder for both PS4 and Xbox One.
