Does Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Require a Constant Internet Connection?
If you’re worried about requiring a constant internet connection to play Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, fret not. Developer Saber Interactive recently revealed that the game offers an offline mode for the single-player campaign.
Furthermore, the PvE game mode does not require an internet connection. You can play offline in any of the game’s PvE experiences, meaning if there’s a storm or a slow internet day because your ISP is throttling you again, you can still enjoy stomping Tyranids!

Does Progression Transfer Between Offline and Online?
While it’s fantastic seeing a brand-new title supporting offline play, which is something more should consider, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 does not allow for progress to transfer between the offline and online modes. If you play the single-player offline and hop online, you’ll lose your game progress, and any unlocks you previously earned.
The same goes for the PvE game modes; nothing will save. It’s a bummer, but I guess we can’t have a win every time.
