Snatch Squad Combines GTA and Payday in a Voxel World

The recent trend in indie gaming focusing on voxel-based games is, most certainly, a win in my book. Something about the aesthetic really appeals to me on a primal level, allowing me to shut down my brain and focus on the fun aspect. Snatch Squad elicits such feelings, with its GTA-meets-Payday-style gameplay, colorful voxel aesthetics, and ambitious, empire-building mechanics.

Imagine Payday in an open world like GTA — built entirely of blocks. Snatch Squad is a co‑op crime sim in a voxel city. Plan and execute heists, launder money through legit businesses, and outsmart the police.

Currently, the release date for Snatch Squad is set as March 2026 on its Steam page, but it is no more specific than that. Thankfully, you can sign up for the Snatch Squad Playtest via the very same page, so go ahead and show your interest in the game when you add it to your Wishlist!

Key Features in Snatch Squad

  • Police Escape – Sirens, chases, ambushes, and special police units! Experience dynamic co-op gameplay with role division and tactical depth. Face off against different police forces based on the contract’s difficulty, and use every trick to evade pursuit.
  • Money Laundering – Your legal business is a front — a laundromat for dirty money. Take control of districts and unlock new properties. The more assets you own, the more ways you have to legitimize your loot.
  • Open World – A city of palm trees and neon, inspired by Miami — alive with districts, gangs, random events, and turf wars. The aesthetic of Miami Vice meets the voxel style of Minecraft.
