It’s the return of the king of skateboarding, and it’s all happening next month. EA and Full Circle have unveiled that skate is coming to Early Access on September 16 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
It’s been far too long since we enjoyed not only the skate franchise but a high-quality skateboarding game that wasn’t just a total remake or remaster of old titles.
On its return, Mike McCartney, Executive Producer, said:
skate. is not just a return, it’s a complete evolution of the franchise that’s built to last. Our goal with skate. is to capture the freedom, creative expression and community of skateboarding, and share it with as many people as possible. From day one, our priority has been to honor the legacy of the franchise while pushing it into a bold new future – one built in partnership with our players.
During Early Access, the Full Circle team intends to engage the player community as frequently as possible. On the topic, Jeff Seamster, Head of Creative, said:

Throughout its development period, skate will evolve thanks to community feedback during the playtesting phase. We’ll see additional content each season, new challenges, cosmetics, music, events, and world updates to help players immerse themselves in the skateboarding lifestyle!
