Atomfall certainly wasn’t the most popular open-world adventure of the year, but it offered a few upsides, like the old-school British aesthetic, quirky characters, and multiple endings. Today, there’s only a handful of people playing, but that doesn’t mean developer Rebellion is giving up on the game! They’ve just unveiled The Red Strain, the next story-based expansion for the first-person shooter!
The Red Strain will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on September 16!

Regarding Test Site Moriah, a previous teaser image from Rebellion read “An image of an industrial facility on a rocky hill surrounded by trees and grass, with strange red foliage visible.”
As for the expanded arsenal, it appears to be a suppressed 1911 chambered in .45 ACP.
And, of course, based on the name of the expansion, we’ll face a new strain of disease infecting the surrounding world and enemies, namely zombie-like husks, as seen in the center image.
