The games industry is bogged down (in some people’s incorrect opinions) with zombie survival titles. I could use more, but that’s just me. Thankfully, there’s a new one coming out this month, mid-January, and it’s shaking up the genre somewhat. Quarantine Zone: The Last Check tasks you with managing a military-medical facility in search of answers to the zombies pounding on the door outside. It’s coming out real soon!
What is Quarantine Zone: The Last Check?
In Quarantine Zone, you operate a key checkpoint in the midst of a zombie outbreak. You’ll utilize various advanced screening tools and trust in your gut to decide which survivors pass through the checkpoint to safety and which of them remain with you for…further testing.
The game features a variety of mechanics, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the post-apocalyptic world, such as:
- Managing scarce resources
- Reinforcing checkpoint defenses
- Quarantine infected survivors for further testing or observation
- Take command of power, food, and medicine
- Fight back the undead hordes
Yeah, it’s not just a personnel screening game like something out of Papers Please! There are instances when things go wrong, and you must stand alongside the soldiers and pick up a weapon or drone controls to fight back against the undead horde in first-person shooter gameplay.
When Does Quarantine Zone: The Last Check Come Out?
You don’t have to wait long for this unique zombie survival game in 2026! Quarantine Zone: The Last Check is out on January 12!
