Puppet House is a horror game where you have to solve puzzles and uncover the mystery of Peter Hill. You play as Detective Rick, who is sent to investigate this house.
While in this house, you will witness the bizarre haunted puppet and freaky events that will leave your heart racing.

The Good
Puppet House has an amazing soundtrack and sound effects. It has some of the best sound effects I have heard in a horror game, and all of them add to the creepiness. For example, every time Rick turns, the floorboards creak, which left me wondering if the puppet was nearby.
The music that plays on the home screen also had me hooked from the moment I heard it. It’s eerie and does a great job of preparing you for what’s to come.
Puppet House also has a good, fleshed-out story. As the game is played, you will find notes from the last victim and the crazy puppeteer who made the haunted puppet while also getting Rick’s commentary on the situation.
While you only ever hear Rick talk, these notes add a lot to the story. It’s a unique way to learn about characters. It also works well with the escape room aspect of the game.
Puppet House has many puzzles you need to solve in order to progress; however, these puzzles aren’t difficult to solve. I could find many of the codes and items needed to solve these puzzles before I ever found the puzzle itself. This made the gameplay smooth and enjoyable. This also didn’t interrupt the story either.
I also enjoyed having a safety mechanism for the story. Although the setting for Puppet House is large and there are many different places to go, it does a good job of keeping you on track by locking specific doors and gates.
The Bad
What I disliked the most about Puppet House is that there is no map. Once you’re able to exit the house, there are a lot of buildings on the main plot, and it gets confusing to know which building is which.
Wandering around can also get confusing once more areas are unlocked. For example, there are three different areas in the game, separate from the house, and it was hard to keep track of them. Having a map would make it a little easier to know where you’re at and can ease frustration.
The final thing I wasn’t a fan of was the lack of quest objectives. Objectives in a game make it easier to navigate and allow me to know where to go and what to focus on. They also help to jog my memory when I have to get off the game and come back on later.
Is Puppet House worth it?
Puppet House is an amazing horror game that’s perfect for curling up with on Halloween. The puppet is creepy to look at and always sends a chill down my spine. It’s easy to play, and the jump scares are amazing. It has an amazing story that is sure to send chills down anyone’s spine.
