Fans of Planet Coaster won’t have to wait too long for the sequel. Planet Coaster 2 has a confirmed release date slated for November 6th!
This reveal comes with a brand new trailer showcasing some new features that players, myself included, have been asking for.
New Trailer, New Features
Two words: switch tracks. That’s right, Planet Coaster 2 will have switch tracks! For me personally, I’ve been wanting this for a long time. This will enable us to push our creativity further and give us a plethora of new ways to construct our coasters. I already have some ideas that I can’t wait to realize in the game. However, that’s not all that Frontier has in store for us.
On top of the new switch tracks, Planet Coaster 2 will also include drop tracks! In the trailer, there is a quick shot of this near the end, and it looks awesome. I can’t wait to see what the community makes with these new track options.
Alongside these new additions, the trailer shows off a bunch of detailed rides and pools. There’s coasters with custom props and colors, pool areas with vibrant scenery, and there are even some new thematic scenery designs.
The new customization options are what I’m most excited for. The trailer includes a lot of segments where we get some great looks at what we can do to the rides. It opens up so many avenues for us to be able to shape and mold these rides to match with whatever theme we want.
Throughout this trailer and others, its clear that the aquatic theme works well with the addition of pools. It will be interesting to see what other themes Frontier has designed and added into the game.
Deluxe Edition & Pre-Order Bonus
Rounding off all the new info, Planet Coaster 2 will have a deluxe edition available alongside the standard version. Both of these versions are available on Steam, Epic, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

The Vintage Funfair Ride Pack includes 10 attractions that are all themed off classic rides. For instance, there’s a carousel ride, a helter skelter slide, and a wooden coaster ride.
There is also a pre-order bonus pack included with any version of the game. This pack comes with three rides which are the cube, rotating slide, and outamax water coaster. Hopefully we get some new gameplay or trailers that gives us more of a look at these new rides as well as the ones in the vintage pack.
Either way, Planet Coaster 2 is coming out November 6th and we can’t wait to jump in!
