Mark Your Calendar For The Phantom Line Public Playtest in March

Okay, let’s get this out of the way. There’s no shortage of anomaly games on the market today, following the subgenre blowing up, thanks in no small part to YouTube and Twitch content creators playing up the scares. But how many let you play as the tactical response team dealing with anomalous occurrences? Phantom Line is an upcoming tactical shooter set on a continent overrun by anomalous activity, and it’s coming from former BioShock and Cyberpunk 2077 developers. The best part? The Phantom Line playtest begins in March, and you’re invited!

It’s a bit of a wait, sure, but you can play Phantom Line during its open playtest phase on March 5, 2026.

Wake up, soldiers!

It has been a few months since your last mission. During your time in the freezer, we have built a new training facility for you and your team. You will now train under my direct supervision. You need to be prepared for your deployment on March 5th, 2026.

The world is not a safe place anymore. There are more anomalies appearing each day – supernatural activity hidden from the public eye. We face a nuclear war, but you’ve always been able to improvise. Study your surroundings, plan, prepare, and adjust tactics. The Organization is counting on you. Wield the husks for the cause.

What is Phantom Line?

Phantom Line is a cooperative first-person shooter with tactical elements in which you and up to three friends will work together to search for and contain anomalies within a post-nuclear European continent. As part of a special operations unit, known as H.U.S.K., on behalf of Mortfield Industries, your task is to use every tactic and advantage you have to deal with anomalies and the creatures that stem from within them.

You’ll upgrade and customize your character, your base, your weapons, and more. While on the ground, you can hunt and cook, craft, and survive outside of the scope of your mission to ensure you can successfully arrive at your next objective.

It’s coming to Steam and Epic Games Store in 2026!
