If you’re unfamiliar with the overall gameplay and mechanics of Crusader Kings 3, it boils down to running a dynasty of unique characters, with traits and perks, that allow various stories to flow forth. You can conquer the land, construct churches to your religion, or duke it out with a rival for a few decades. It’s up to you! And it’s about to get much bigger with the announcement of Crusader Kings 3 Chapter 3, complete with a content roadmap from Paradox Interactive!

While the free content is certainly a welcome surprise, I’m most excited about “Roads to Power.” The chance to rule Constantinople or to roam the wilds as an adventurer for hire sounds absolutely thrilling. It’s the type of content I can center an entire playthrough around for tens of hours. Any reason to return to Crusader Kings 3!

We’ve been working hard on trying to find ways to introduce major historical contnet like the Black Death and the Byzxanite Empire’s distint form of government in CKIII, and we know that our fans have been wanting these as well. Chapter III promises to be one of the biggest phases in the game’s history.

The first bit of content for Crusader Kings 3 Chapter 3, Legends of the Dead, will be released on March 4th, 2024. It’s a core expansion; bringing additional activities, game events, and mechanics to the game. Most notably, we’ll see war and disease topple entire empires in one fell swoop.
