Flow wood is an essential item in Palia. It’s a material needed to make the items for the Fit for a Watcher quest that you get early on to progress the story. However, flow wood isn’t like other types of wood, and a few more things need to be done to obtain it.
How to Find Flow Trees
The first thing you need to do is find flow trees. Flow trees don’t just appear like regular trees do. There are a couple of different things you can do to find them.
The first way to find them is to farm them, which takes a lot of time and patience. The first thing to do is find a large section of trees. I recommend finding a section close to a tool repair station, which you can find on the map.
Once you’ve found your section, chop down every tree and wait for them to respawn. Trees take about five minutes to respawn, and each time one respawns, there’s a chance it will spawn as a flow tree.
The second way you can find flow-infused trees is by going to flow tree groves. These groves spawn once per Palia day at midnight in Bahari Bay. They usually spawn near the ancient ruins that you find while walking around.
There are a few things you can do to find the groove. The first thing you want to pay attention to is a sound. It sounds like a magical sound, you can’t miss it, it’s out of place from the usual soundtrack. Once you hear that sound, start walking in the direction it came from.
The other way to find the grove is to ask on the server. Palia is full of friendly players. If you ask, someone will answer, and most of the time, they let others know where it is anyway. If you join others in finding the grove, be courteous and don’t start chopping trees until everyone agrees.

Chopping Flow Trees
Flow trees are unique in more ways than one, not only are they harder to find, you also need at least two people to cut them down. Flow trees have an ability where they continue to regain their bar, and one person isn’t able to swing their axe quick enough to beat the bar.
If you aren’t playing in a party, it’s pretty easy to find another player online who is willing to help. Like before, say something in the chat describing where the tree is and wait for people to come. Also, like before, before you chop anything down, be courteous and ensure everyone who wants to help is there.
Flow-Infused Wood Uses
Flow-infused wood has a lot of purposes. Sometimes, it’s needed for quests, like the Fit for a Watcher quest. Some crafting recipes require it, like Exquisite tools or Watcher furniture. It can also be requested as a gift from villagers as part of the weekly gift system.
