How to Save in No Rest For The Wicked
You can save in No Rest For The Wicked by walking up to any of the many Whispers scattered throughout the game world and then hitting the interact prompt shown on your HUD. On a controller, it’s ‘Y.’ Upon doing so, this specific Whisper becomes your checkpoint and save point. It remembers everything, and you can freely quit the game without worrying about losing equipment or progress.
Once you hit this point, hit ‘Esc’ on your keyboard or the menu/start button on your controller to access the menu. To quit out of No Rest For The Wicked, scroll through the pop-up tabs to the final icon, which allows you to exit to the main menu. From there, you can close out of the game.

Does No Rest For The Wicked Autosave?
No Rest For The Wicked does not appear to autosave your progress unless you interact with one of the game’s Whispers. If you’re a veteran of the Soulslike genre, then think of Whispers like your bonfire or Site of Grace in Elden Ring.
Once you interact with the Whisper, it saves your progress and acts like a checkpoint should you, sadly, die while fighting one of the many challenging enemies in the game!
