Nintendo Brings F-Zero Games To The Switch

On October 2, 2024, Nintendo announced two F-Zero games are coming to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online Library, F-Zero GP Legend & F-Zero Climax. These games will be available to play and download for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members on October 11, 2024.

F-Zero GP Legend is a racing video game released for the Game Boy Advance in 2003. It features high-speed futuristic racing in the F-Zero universe. The game includes a Story Mode following F-Zero: GP Legend anime series characters. This includes Captain Falcon and Rick Wheeler, alongside a traditional Grand Prix mode. The game emphasizes precise control, track memorization, and strategic use of boost mechanics to win races.

F-Zero Climax is the final game in the series, released exclusively in Japan for the Game Boy Advance in 2004. It features a Story Mode that expands on characters and events from the F-Zero: GP Legend anime, as well as new tracks and vehicles. The game is notable for its Track Editor, which allows players to create and race on custom courses, a feature unique to this title.

New Content Is Coming to F-Zero 99

Along with the two GBA F-Zero games coming to Nintendo Switch Online, F-Zero 99 had an update that included new content. Nintendo announced a new League, tracks, decals and an expanded Practice Mode. F-Zero 99 Ver 1.5.0 is available for players now.

The Guide Hall is a big fan of F-Zero games for their high-octane races filled with colorful characters. With no new F-Zero games in the near future, it’s nice to see the series get some love.
