The strategy genre remains relatively niche, especially a grand strategy game with turn-based mechanics. Despite this, Endless Legend 2 and its long-running franchise continue to pull in players who want to construct empires. Well, now it gets bigger and better. Thanks to a major update, Endless Legend 2 now offers multiplayer and other key fixes and improvements to the core game!
This particular major content update, known as The Gathering, offers multiplayer, world map alterations, diplomacy improvements, gameplay tweaks and fixes, unit and ability balance, and so much more. But the key here is the multiplayer mode, which was previously available on the Public Test Branch.
In Endless Legend 2 multiplayer, you may set up lobbies, select a faction, and play with or against your friends.
Other key areas this update improves or expands include:
- World map changes, with territory sizes increasing by 30%
- Various diplomacy tweaks and improvements
- New game speed options, with mechanical changes depending on speed choice
- Retake Necrophage economy
- Pacification quest flow rework
- Aspects improvements
- And the usual round of bug-fixing and balancing, including changes to the tutorial and some targeted Steam Deck tweaks
