Grat is a big town built on cliffs with many different paths you can explore. Not all of these paths are open from the beginning, though. You’ll need a Bridge Pass in Magical Delicacy to access some areas.
You can obtain a Bridge Pass early on in the game. It’s one of the first quests you get when you’re out exploring Central Plaza.
Starting the Bridge Pass Quest
To start this quest, you need to find Princess Adelaide. She and her guard, Amara, can be found in Central Plaza on the middle level.
To get there, go left from your kitchen and continue past the blacksmith. Don’t take any stairs up or down; just jump across the platforms. Two people will be standing to the left of the horse statue.
Once you find these people, walk over to the girl in yellow, Princess Adelaide, and talk to her. She and Amara will banter a little bit, and then she’ll ask you to bring her something sweet in return for a Bridge Pass.
Buying the Materials
At this point in the game, you won’t have much to work with, but you don’t need anything extravagant for the princess. For this quest, you need to make a simple Marzipan. Go into your inventory to view the recipe. Once you select the recipes, tap, scroll over to desserts, and pin the Marzipan recipe.
Now that the Marzipan recipe is pinned, you can start working on gathering the ingredients. All you’ll need for it is Honeyspark Sugar and Hazel Flour.
First, start with purchasing these ingredients from Signe’s bakery. His bakery is located on the right side of the map, but you’ll have to perform some parkour to get there. Head back over to your bakery and continue to the right.
On the next screen, if you head down the stairs, you’ll be blocked by a platform. To get through this platform, jump and then hold your down button, and you’ll fall through it.
After you’ve done that, head left and walk into the bakery; it will be the only building in this area. You’ll have to get through Signe’s introductory spiel first and then his shop will automatically open up. In the shop, purchase some honeyspark wheat and a hazelnut.
After purchasing these items, proceed to the left. Jump over the thorns and platforms and head to Central Plaza from there. On the next screen, there will be a lever. Pull the lever to open the door and unlock the shortcut back to the bakery in the future.
Continue through Central Plaza until you’ve reached Star’s forge. This is going to be the first building on the middle platform. Head into the forge and talk to Star. Once you’ve gotten through his introduction, purchase the cutting board and mortar and pestle.

Making Something Sweet
Now that you have everything you need to make the Marzipan, it’s time to get to work. First, place the cutting board and mortar and pestle in your shop.
The next thing is to make sure you have your hazelnut and honeyspark wheat in your inventory. You can plant the wheat if you want in the garden outside your shop, or you can purchase more later.
Take both of these to the mortar and pestle to create the honeyspark sugar and hazel flour. You’ll have to place the ingredients in there one at a time. Each of these will take a few seconds, so be patient or work on something else.
Once you have the honeyspark sugar and hazelnut powder, take them both to the cutting board. Make sure both of the ingredients are placed on the cutting board, and use your start button. Wait a few seconds again, and then you’ll have your Marzipan.
Getting the Bridge Pass
Once the Marzipan is done, pick it up from the cutting board and make sure it’s in your inventory. Once it’s in your inventory, head back to where Adelaide and Amara were in the beginning.
Interact with Adelaide once again, scroll over to the deliver option, and select the Marzipan. After doing this, Adelaide will rave about the dessert while Amara gets a little upset that she’s not sharing. Once they’re both done talking, you’ll get the Bridge Pass as a reward.
Finally, with the Bridge Pass, you’ll be able to explore more of Grat to progress the story and unlock more recipes and quests to complete.
