Like any good survival crafting game in Early Access, Lost Rift has a roadmap that covers all the bells and whistles coming to the deserted island during development. From AI improvements to new weapons to weapon customization to fast travel…the list goes on quite a ways. All said, we’re excited to see what’s coming to the game after having spent hours surviving the crash!

As per the blog post, People Can Fly has an extensive roadmap in place for its survival game, Lost Rift, to see us eager players through Early Access. The roadmap covers:
- New Expedition Map: A fresh PVPVE island to explore, filled with new dangers and new secrets.
- New Alpha Predator Fauna: A terrifying new apex creature to rival Bonkey will be stalking the new Expedition map.
- New Prey Fauna: Our cutest addition yet, the capybara, will be found on the new Expedition map.
- Gun Modding: Customize your loadout and experiment with attachments to fit your playstyle.
- New Firearms: Multiple new tools of survival and destruction are on the way.
- Wood Building Material: Build stronger bases and new structures to withstand the islands’ threats.
- Pioneers’ Landing Fast Travel System: Expedite your journeys across the island.
- Better Expedition Onboarding: To help new players hit the ground running without feeling overwhelmed, we’ll be upgrading the matchmaking system to match players together based on their game progress.
- Solo Revives and Opt-in Solo Expedition Queues: Our goal is to make solo play more accessible and just as fun as squads.
- Quality of Life Improvements:
- Craft at your workbench from your storage with a new chest type
- Remove ammo directly from guns, allowing ammo swapping
- HUD indication of armor durability, so you know when your armor breaks
The team also promised to continue improving the following based on feedback from the community:
- Weapons
- AI
- Economy
- Revival Systems
- Heavy Wound Systems
