If, like me, you’ve been rabidly following Kingmakers, hoping for information about its gameplay, time travel mechanics, or, especially, a release date, then you’ve probably been eyeing the Steam store page frequently, too. It still says Q1 2025, which ends in March, as of this writing. However, that’s not happening. Here’s what you should know about the Kingmakers release date moving forward!
When is the Kingmakers Release Date?
Well, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Kingmakers isn’t launching in March. As of this writing, the team at Redemption Road is shooting for a Q2 2025 release, perhaps sometime in May, for the third-person time travel shooter.
It was just last month, February, that the team was still hoping to launch in Q1. In fact, the contract with their publisher, tinybuild, clearly stated Q1 for the release window. However, as it’s becoming increasingly more common, a delay was inevitable as Q1 is coming to a rapid close with no planned release date. As such, the game’s director states they’re talking of pushing to Q2, likely sometime in May.
I don’t know about you but I can wait a few more months for this indie shooter to strike gold!

Can You Pre-Order Kingmakers?
Currently, you cannot pre-order Kingmakers on Steam. There is no option to purchase the game early, no price listed, and no pre-order bonuses given. For now, it’s a waiting game.
