I’m not ashamed to say that Diablo 4 is currently one of my favorite games. It’s not overly complex but I’m enjoying my time grinding through the levels, and after a long day at work, that’s precisely what I want. Mindless fun! But what happens if Diablo 4 is down? How will I ever reach level 100 on my eighteenth character?!
Are the Diablo 4 Servers Down?
Since we’re talking about Blizzard, it’s not impossible for the Diablo 4 servers to hit the fan and shut down altogether. But it’s unlikely. They’ve invested a lot of money into ensuring their server infrastructure is top-notch, and considering past releases, this one remains one of the most stable online experiences to date.
Right now, you can check if the ARPG is down by visiting the game’s social media, checking a third-party site like Downdetector, or attempting to log in.

What To Do if Diablo 4 is Down
If you’re unable to connect to Diablo 4 but cannot find any reports about the servers themselves, it might be an issue on your end. Here are a handful of fixes:
- Reset your router/modem.
- Switch from 2.4 GHz to 5 GHz, or vice versa, on your computer’s Wi-Fi.
- Fully close out of the game and then relaunch.
- Play something else in the meantime.
While certainly not ideal, sometimes it’s necessary to take a step back from the RPG to enjoy another game. Considering the amount of sweat found in ARPGs, I recommend relaxing with Stardew Valley for the time being!
