It’s always exciting to see an Early Access title receive a brand-new content update. It means we have a chance to jump back into the game, explore additional points of interest, enjoy new mechanics, and more. That’s precisely what’s happening here with the second major content update for Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days. From new zombies to new difficulty settings, there are plenty of reasons to start a new playthrough!
Key Features in Into the Dead’s Second Major Update
Alongside a brand-new zombie type and an additional recruitable survivor, the biggest changes in this update come from the survivor infection system. An untreated infection can lead to ruin, risking the sanctity of your entire shelter by putting all survivors at risk should an infected human turn into a zombie at home. It’s an added thrill we can’t wait to check out for ourselves!
- Survivor Infection System: Fighting back against zombies is more dangerous than ever, as survivors now have a chance to become infected after an enemy encounter. In the event that untreated infections turn survivors into zombies, prepare for difficult decisions about exiling members from their shelter.
- New Zombie Threats: New zombie variants now stalk the streets of Walton, with players forced to adapt to their unpredictable behavior.
- New Survivor: Meet Vince, the newest recruitable survivor, a troubled teen from a wealthy Texas family with an anti-authority streak…
- Difficulty Settings: Tailor each trip to Walton with pre-set difficulty settings of Casual, Normal or Hard, or create a customized nightmare by tweaking various game elements.
- New Localization: Thai language support is now available!
If you don’t already own Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, we highly recommend checking out the zombie survival game with its strong focus on characters and shelter-building mechanics. It’s an astounding zombie game worthy of your time!
