If you want to grow your community in Infection Free Zone, it starts with constructing shelters. If people don’t have a spot to rest their heads each night, they’ll move along. You want people. They’re a crucial resource. Here is how to build shelters in Infection Free Zone!
How to Construct Shelters in Infection Free Zone
To build a shelter, you must completely loot an abandoned building and ensure no infected are hiding within. Once that’s done, select the build menu from the bottom left tab—it’s the icon of the house with four windows—and then select the first category. This is your key structures, including the HQ, Warehouse, and Shelters/Houses. From here, select the Shelter, then pick one of the abandoned buildings near your HQ to repurpose.

Once you select an appropriate structure, your citizens will start working on the building. It will take a few hours and a bit of Wood, but it shouldn’t break your resource bank.
Eventually, you’ll want to upgrade to a House!

Where to Build Shelters in Infection Free Zone
In Infection Free Zone, you don’t want to spread your base facilities and structures out too far, as the infected will come during the night to attack. It’s better to keep everything close, within the confines of your walls and guard towers, where your armed squads can protect everything.
I recommend forming a semi-circle around your HQ in some of the smaller buildings. That way, when your squads return to base for the night, they’re nearby in case of an attack.
