Incursion Red River: How to Accept New Jobs

Incursion Red River somewhat shakes up the tactical shooter and extraction genre by limiting the default gameplay to single-player or cooperative. Thankfully, you won’t face any sweaty PvP lords in this shooter. But to progress, instead of taking down other players, you’ll complete jobs. Here is how to accept new jobs in Incursion Red River!

Where to Find New Jobs in Incursion Red River

First and foremost, upon dropping into your base of operations, you’ll note a few key points of interest. These include the shooting range, where you may test loadouts, the armory and inventory, which houses all your items, and the terminal in the center. The latter proves most important, as it’s where you’ll take on new jobs.

Once you access the terminal, navigate to the Job Board tab on the top menu. Here, you’ll usually find a handful of available jobs, varying in difficulty and reward.

Select any of the available jobs to receive additional details. You’ll receive a summary of the gig, location, affected faction, tasks, and rewards. It’s important to pay attention to the overall complexity of a job, especially when playing single-player. Some tasks seem to require a group to complete, as they’re far more difficult.

When you’re ready to accept a job from the Job Board, hit “Track” on the right-hand side of the task. It will automatically track the job on your map in-game, allowing you to complete objectives the next time you deploy.

Once you finish a job, check your Inbox for your reward! You can click through each item individually for a better look at your rewards or receive all at the bottom to move on with the game.

Which Jobs in Incursion Red River Should You Tackle First?

At least initially, you’ll only have access to a handful of jobs in Incursion Red River. I recommend tackling one of the following to start:

  • Stealth Surveillance
  • Outpost Demolition Directive

The first, Stealth Surveillance, requires learning a few of the in-game mechanics, such as placing down quest-specific equipment. The other, Outpost Demolition Directive, offers the chance to learn the game’s combat and ordnance rules.
