Hyper-Realistic FPS Better Than Dead Coming May 12

Publisher MicroProse and developer Monte Gallo proudly announced the Better Than Dead release date this morning, set for May 12. The hyper-realistic first-person shooter promises visceral action in a brutal FPS set in a photorealistic Hong Kong. The release date announcement trailer showcases new gameplay, mostly shootouts, of course, along with environment destruction and world design. Overall, it’s a fantastic time, and perfect for fans of Hard Boiled!

Better Than Dead, following the latest trend of photorealistic bodycam-inspired first-person shooters, is set in a classic Hong Kong cinema-inspired action setting. The player, a survivor picks up a pistol and commits serious felonies in the name of violence and revenge.

The game design, from a creative standpoint, aims for tension and frantic, chaotic gunplay. It focuses on movement, reaction, and execution, with each encounter taking seconds, but those seconds matter. Every bullet is costly, unforgiving.
