These days, with the rising cost of digital video games, we all want to know how much a new release will cost on day one. If it’s below the typical $69.99 that most new releases shoot for nowadays, it’s considered a win. But how much does Dead Island 2 cost?
How Much Does Dead Island 2 Cost?
Over on the Epic Games Store, where Dead Island 2 launched first in 2023, the game costs $59.99. However, I regularly saw it go on sale for as low as half off. For example, during their recent winter sale, the cost of Dead Island 2 dropped to around $30.
But with Dead Island 2 coming to Steam, it’s unclear precisely how much developer Dambuster Studios and publisher Deep Silver intend to charge for this year-old game. We’ll likely see some sort of discount, as most titles that move over to Steam from the Epic Games Store do.

How Much is the Dead Island 2 Expansion Pass? Is It Worth It?
As for the game’s expansion pass, you can score it as part of the Dead Island 2 Gold Edition for $79.99 or standalone for $29.99. Again, both of these price points stem from the Epic Games Store. We’ll likely see a bit of a discount on the Gold Edition on Steam, but I somewhat doubt the Expansion Pass, at least the standalone version, will go on sale on day one of its launch. We’ll see!
