The next major update for Mirthwood, the indie fantasy RPG from developer Bad Ridge Games, was unveiled at Shacknews E4 Indie Showcase. In the Mirthwood Seafarers update, you can build and customize a ship, recruit crew members, and explore the world on the high seas. Sailing will play a role in the game’s overarching story, but along the way, you’ll fight new enemies and explore forgotten islands.

- Grimrock Awakens: Engage new enemies, discover new lore, and enjoy additional light story elements.
- Online Multiplayer: Create a new character or bring an existing one to a friend’s world.
When Can You Play the Next Mirthwood Update?
As of this writing, the upcoming Mirthwood update will launch sometime later this year, though there’s no official date yet. Considering the scope of this release, it’s likely to take the studio a few more months to iron out features and squash bugs. I mean, we get to build and customize our own ships!
