Foxhole features a wide range of important roles that players can fulfill. However, one of the most essential roles is logistics. Players in this field typically man the backline, constructing factories, building field equipment, and transporting said items. This role may seem a bit daunting for a new player, considering how important and valuable it is to the soldiers on the frontlines. We’ll give you a step-by-step process for running logistics as a beginner.
Choosing a Faction
If you have never played Foxhole before, you will first need to pick a faction. These include the southern Colonials and the northern Wardens.
Knowing that both factions will provide the same core logistics experience is important. The only difference is the vehicles you drive and the equipment you deliver. As for me, I went with the Wardens since I’ve been a longtime Warden player. This guide will feature screenshots from my supply runs on the Warden side, which you can use to help you decide on a faction.

Spawning and Getting a Truck
After picking a faction, you must choose a location to spawn in. I recommend starting in your respective faction’s backline for your first run. The Colonials’ backline is anywhere between the Ash Fields and Terminus. The Wardens’ backline is between Callum’s Cape and Clanshead Valley. For my runs on the Warden side, I typically start in Callum’s Cape since everything I need is nearby.
Locations like the ones mentioned above are categorized as the backline. This is where most of the logistical gameplay takes place. These areas include key nodes required to run logistics, such as salvage fields, refineries, and factories.
After spawning in, you will want to look for a garage or seaport to see if there are any trucks that you can use. Look for the R-1 Hauler on the inventory screen if you’re playing as the Colonials. For the Wardens, find the Dunne Transport. If there are no available trucks, you will have to build your own.

To build a truck, locate the nearest salvage field and/or mine and acquire two stacks of 100 salvage. Next, take the stacks to a refinery and turn it into building materials. You should end up with 100 building materials which is enough to construct a truck. Take that to a garage and start building your truck. Remember to fuel your truck with a nearby fuel container or make your own diesel with salvage/building materials.

Constructing Equipment
With your new truck, you can start making equipment for the frontline. One thing to note is that Foxhole players often refer to building materials as bmats. Bmats are required to make equipment, vehicles, and defensive structures. For the next portion of the guide, don’t worry if you are left with a handful of materials, as combat engineers can still utilize them.
To make equipment, start by repeating the process of acquiring salvage and turning it into building materials. I recommend filling your entire truck’s inventory with them. Once you’ve reached full capacity take the materials to a factory and start placing construction orders on equipment. The equipment will come in crates of a certain amount, which makes it easier to transport. If you don’t know what to build, you can use the following chart as a general list of what to prioritize.
| Equipment | Building Material Cost |
| Soldier Supplies (Shirts) x 10 per crate | 80 |
| Bandages x 50 per crate | 80 |
| First Aid Kit x 10 per crate | 60 |
| 7.62mm x 40 per crate | 80 |
| No.2 Loughcaster x 20 per crate | 100 |
Soldier and medical supplies are considered the most important items. For example, during my sessions, I tend to make four crates worth of soldier supplies since that equals 40 additional spawns for front-line players. When it comes to weapons, you can make whichever you want. However, some rifles will be preferred by players in particular circumstances.
Once your truck is loaded up with supplies, you can now set out to deliver them

The Long Haul
You can start hauling the supplies to the front with your crate-filled truck.
It’s important to monitor the map to determine where to take the supplies. Almost every few minutes, you will see a pin near the frontlines specifying which equipment is needed at that specific place. Remember that the pin and any posted comments always have a timestamp associated with them, which you can use to determine if a location has already received some gear.

After you have picked a location, you are free to start your trip. Keep checking the map in case the enemy has encroached on certain roads, which may cut off any route you had in mind.
When you have reached your destination, drive up close to the base and go into its inventory. With your mouse, right-click one of your crates and click on ‘Submit all to stockpile.’ This will automatically dump your truck’s inventory to the base, rendering your supply run a success.

All in a Day’s Work
Congrats on your first successful run! You have just contributed to your faction’s war efforts.
Other players will use everything that you submit to the stockpile. They will always need more supplies, so logistics plays a vital role in Foxhole.
One last thing: if you need to log out, you can park your truck in designated parking areas or on the side of the road so that other players can use it when you’re offline. Good luck with your other logistics runs in Foxhole!
There are numerous roles available to players in Foxhole. The Guide Hall will bring you more Foxhole guides from our time on the field.
