Helldivers 2: How to Get Premium Warbonds

In a world filled with microtransactions and battle passes, it’s nice to see a developer provide the option to support their development while offering a way to earn premium currency by playing the game. That’s precisely what Helldivers 2 does, allowing everyone access to Premium Warbonds!

How to Unlock Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2

To unlock Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2, you must pay Super Credits, which is a form of premium currency that you can either buy with real money or earn in-game by exploring points of interest while out on missions and spending Medals to unlock Super Credits in the Free Warbond. I recommend the latter. It’s easy enough to earn Super Credits.

Every page of the Free Warbond features a single unlockable bundle of Super Credits. You’ll earn 100 SC per bundle. Then, in-game, you can find packs of SC, though they vary in amount.

Once you have 1,000 Super Credits, you can unlock the Premium Warbonds!

What’s Included in the Premium Battle Pass in Helldivers 2?

Like the Free Warbond, the Premium Warbonds provide various cosmetic items, such as armor and capes, player cards, emotes, and the occasional high-powered weapon.

But isn’t tying powerful guns to premium currency pay-to-win? Somewhat, yes. However, earning a generous amount of SC in-game simply by playing through the missions makes up for any form of Battle Pass or microtransaction store.

In fact, this is precisely how “live service” games should be run!

Are Premium Warbonds Worthwhile?

As someone who has spent tens of hours playing Helldivers 2 with no plans of stopping, I highly recommend both the game and the Premium Warbonds. Besides earning the currency in-game, something I just cannot get over because it’s so damn rare, the actual cost in terms of money to gameplay is worthwhile.

While varying in quality, the unlocks you earn through the Premium Battle Pass prove rather illustrious and aesthetically pleasing. I’m absolutely down for a bit of gold-plated armor and laser weaponry.
