You know, I shouldn’t be surprised that Hell Let Loose decided to branch out into Vietnam, considering the severe lack of first-person shooters set during the war. Sure, we have Rising Storm 2, but as someone who had a favorite server and would spend hours each weekend playing the latter, I always wanted more. Now, the team at Expression Games intends to deliver, with Team17 watching its back. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is partnering with Royal Armouries, of YouTube fame, to ensure its weapons and armor remain accurate!
By now, we’ve likely all witnessed the incredible YouTube series involving Royal Armouries’ Jonathan Ferguson as he explores weapons from various video games and their real-world counterparts. It should surprise no one that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam wishes to obtain a certain level of realism with its weapons and armor, and who better to help than the iconic museum?

On the partnership, Jack Wanstall, Senior Licensing & Partnerships Manager at Royal Armouries, said:
The Royal Armouries is delighted to support Expression Games and Team17 on this exciting new title. As one of the world’s leading museums of arms and armour, we are committed to sharing our collections and expertise with new audiences. This partnership allows us to bring an element of historical accuracy into the interactive entertainment space, offering players vivid in-game detail and fresh ways to engage with the stories and heritage that the Royal Armouries preserves.

On the other side of the deal, Matt White, Creative Director at Expression Games, said:
Working with the Royal Armouries and Jonathan Ferguson [Keeper of Firearms & Artillery] was a unique experience for our team. Their detailed knowledge and collection of historical weapons was invaluable in helping us achieve visual, animation and audio authenticity in Hell Let Loose: Vietnam.
We currently don’t have an official release date for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, but it’s coming sometime in 2026. Go ahead and Wishlist the game on Steam!
